Poplar wood is a fast growing and sustainable hardwood that grows in abundance in North America. It performs exceptionally well with water and moisture exposure.
This soap dish has minimal surface area to minimize contact. The wide angled channels allow the water to quickly drain from the soap which helps to extend the life of the bar. This is an untreated cut of wood in its natural state.

We recommend allowing the wood to fully dry out every few weeks. This will prolong the life of the wood. If you purchase two of these, you could use one for a few weeks while the other is drying out.
